Knicks vs Mavs & the rest of the NBA
Another win for my Mavs. I actually expected to win this game, but the Knicks are playing much better these days and hung in there for a half at least. The Mavs now have to go face the Labrons tomorrow night. Their streak came to an end in Charlotte tonight so I expect them to be ready to rumble agains the Mavs.
Houston won again. Standing on the shoulders of Yao Ming's 32 & 14 the Rockets beat the Pacers 86-76. The bad thing for me was the fact I had them at -11. Oh well. If they keep playing this way they will make some noise come playoff time.
Nash's Suns clinched the Pacific with a win over the T Wolves. Third year in a row for the Suns. To bad nobody remembers the division titles. Championships are what count.
Alright...time to go. I will be back to discuss the Cavs game tomorrow night.

Stop the Insanity!
Stop.
Stop making the MVP race about ONE game!
Stop.
Stop proclaiming doom because of just ONE game!
Just STOP!
OK. Now that I have that out....I can talk a little more reasonably. The Mavs game on Wed night was no doubt the best and worst game of the year. Worst game if you're a Mavs fan. However, it's just one little game in the middle of March. No more & no less. The loss doesn't break the Mavs season or make the Suns. Don't get me wrong...it was a big game. As big as games get in March. Yes, I was down. Yes, the Mavs made stupid mistakes down the stretch. And yes....Dirk got outplayed....for ONE game.
Why is it we just conveniently forget about Dirk's last second shot to beat the Suns the last time these two teams played? It's like it didn't even happen. It's like all the work Dirk has put in was flushed for just ONE stupid game. The Mavs are still in the drivers seat. The Suns are still chasing and Dirk is still the favorite. Period.
ONE game doesn't change anything.

Mavs streak over - Time to start another
Dang. I was hoping the Mavs would keep things rollin...but you can't win em all. That's OK. I would rather they lose to Golden State than lose to Phoenix on Wednesday. They just didn't have it last night. Hopefully the Mavs don't run into Golden State in the first round.
Let's focus on Wednesday shall we. The Suns visit the AAC in hopes of getting their first victory over the Mavs this season. This game is big for both teams as I think it will significantly impact whether or not the Suns have any chance of catching the Mavs for the overall top seed. Win and they have a shot. Lose and they have no shot. It also has a mental impact. The Mavs are already 2-0 against them and going up 3-0 would further enforce the fact that the Mavs are the best team in the league. Look for the Mavs to be ready and hand the little Suns a loss. Go mavs.

Let's talk MVP
MVP. What does that mean anyway? Actually, what does that mean to you? It seems to mean something different to everybody. Best player in the league? Player most valuable to their team? Best player on the team with the best record? On and on we go. My opinion is it needs to go to the best player on the team with the best record. This year that just happens to be Dirk Nowitzki. Now, I am a Mavs fan so I am a little jaded. But, who else can you give it to? Only one other in my estimation. Nasty Nash.
So, why Dirk. Because, the Mavs kick ass and he's the main reason. I can go into all kinds of stats to back up this position. But why should I? Look them up and you will see. Now, some will say Steve Nash does the same thing for the Suns. True. But the Mavs have a 5 game lead on the Suns and mark my words they will take the number 1 seed. The Suns kick ass, just not the Mavs ass. Thus Dirk wins. Period.

Another Mavs victory
One more notch in the Mavs belt. It was a really good game and I commend the Magic for their efforts. Dirk was great again, but the real star was Jet. He had a great game. His passing game has really picked up this year and this only makes the Mavs more dangerous.
It seems the Spurs keep winning as well as they won their 8th in a row last night. Nobody is going to catch the Mavs, but whoever plays the Spurs in the playoffs will have their hands full.
They always seem to turn it on during this time of the year.
Well, I have to make this short so....GO MAVS.
